#UglyChristmasInsuranceSweaterChallenge 2022: Call for Entries! Design the Worst Insurance Holiday Sweater
Do you have what it takes to create the most gloriously terrible holiday sweater in the insurance industry? The #UglyChristmasInsuranceSweaterChallenge is back for its second year, and this time, we're raising the stakes. We believe it can get even uglier, even more dreadful, and we're inviting insurance companies AND insurance brokers to prove it.
Last year's inaugural challenge was a massive success, answering the question: "Does the insurance industry have bad taste and self-deprecating humor?" Ten companies participated, and over 2,500 votes on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn crowned the Provinzial's creation as the "Worst Christmas Insurance Sweater of 2021." This year, we're expanding the fun to include the vital network of insurance agents and brokers who are the face of the industry to clients every day.
How the 2022 Challenge Works
This is your chance to showcase your company's or your agency's personality, humor, and creative spirit. Here’s everything you need to know to participate:

Categories, Prizes, and Industry Glory
For the first time, we will crown two champions:
- The Ugliest Insurance Company Sweater
- The Ugliest Insurance Broker/Agency Sweater
The winners will receive more than just eternal bragging rights and industry fame. Each category winner will be awarded a exclusive set of "Sandmännchen und seine Freunde" (Sandman and His Friends) Christmas mugs—a fitting prize for a champion of questionable festive taste.
How to Enter the Competition
Unleash your inner designer! Your creation method is entirely up to you:
- Use Photoshop or other design software for a digital masterpiece.
- Pick up knitting needles or a crochet hook for a hand-crafted horror.
- Get crafty with fabric glue, felt, and every sequin you can find.
Once your sweater is ready (or your digital design is complete), email a clear photo or image file to ohduschreckliche@versicherungsbote.de by December 1, 2022.
